I'm Kike Faúndez. I build technology that helps people grow financially.
Information Systems and Management Control Engineer, with master's degrees in Finance (University of Chile) and Industrial Engineering (Pontifical Catholic University of Chile). Over 15 years in regulated financial services.
About me
My name is Enrique Faúndez Saldaño, but everyone calls me Kike. I'm Chilean, based in Santiago, and the founder of CashControlly.
My professional path bridges three worlds that rarely intersect: finance, information systems engineering, and operations. That intersection is what allows me to build digital products that understand both the technical problem and the human problem behind every financial decision.
Academic background
Master's in Industrial Engineering
Master's in Finance
Information Systems & Management Control Engineer
Additionally, I hold certifications in Artificial Intelligence and ITIL, which I apply to digital product development with a focus on operational efficiency and user experience.
Professional experience
Over 15 years working in regulated financial services in roles that combined finance, operations management, and product development. My experience spans:
- Finance: personal financial planning, portfolio management, risk assessment, banking and capital markets products.
- Operations: process optimization, operational management, organizational efficiency applied to digital products.
- Systems: information architecture, platform integration, digital transformation in financial organizations.
This combination led me to understand that well-designed technology can democratize access to quality financial tools, not as a privilege reserved for private banking clients, but as a standard available to anyone.
What drives me
I deeply believe that personal financial control is a skill that can be learned, and that the tools we use to learn it should rise to the occasion. A good Excel spreadsheet can change the economic trajectory of a family. A well-designed app can do the same at scale.
CashControlly is born from that conviction: financial knowledge shouldn't be a luxury. Neither should the tools to apply it.
Why I built CashControlly
Working with clients across different profiles, I saw a consistent pattern: people didn't have an income problem, they had a visibility problem. They didn't know where their money was going, not because they didn't want to know, but because the available tools were poor, complicated, or designed for markets that didn't reflect their reality.
International apps don't understand Chilean pesos, Brazilian reais, or Mexican pesos. They don't recognize local merchants. They don't adapt to realities like aguinaldos, profit-sharing bonuses, or the variable income of a self-employed professional.
I decided to build what was missing: a personal finance app conceived from Latin America, for the global market, with the technical and design quality that anyone seeking control over their personal economy deserves.
My approach
CashControlly was built following principles that come directly from my training:
Technical rigor
My industrial engineering training taught me that a good product is measured. Every CashControlly feature is evaluated by its real impact on the user, not by how it looks in a presentation.
Financial soundness
My master's in Finance gave me the technical language to understand market products. That knowledge translates into tools that respect the user's intelligence and don't fall into incorrect simplifications.
Systems thinking
My information systems training taught me to see problems as flows. CashControlly isn't just a calculator: it's a system designed so that financial learning is progressive and sustainable.
Results focus
My ITIL and AI certifications reinforce something central to me: technology serves when it produces measurable results. CashControlly's success metric is how much money its users save, not how many download the app.
The team and vision
CashControlly is a growing project. Today I personally lead product development, content strategy, and user support. I'm building a distributed team and actively work with local experts in each of the 15 countries where the platform is available.
The vision is clear: make CashControlly the most trusted and useful personal finance app for Latin America and emerging markets, gradually expanding to more countries and deepening local expertise in each market.
